Revell - Chevrolet called itself the Heartbeat of America, and in the Eighties one of the most unforgettable manifestations of that belief was the Monte Carlo SS—one of the era’s defining shows of street style and performance. The Monte Carlo was best known for attainable personal luxury, but for 1983 Chevrolet’s engineers reworked the classy coupe adding a slippery nose and a rear spoiler in the pursuit of the checkered flag on the nation’s superspeedways. They easily met that goal, and the Monte Carlo SS secured an unbroken string of NASCAR Manufacturers’ Championships starting in 1983.
